about me + music video analysis

Hi I am jack
 I live with my my parents and my younger sister who is 15.
I have a dog called Doris, she is a black Labrador and is 2 years old in November.
I work in the new Devonshire is Grassington as a kitchen porter.
at school I am in y12, I have chosen for a levels, business studies, media, sport and sport leaders.

I took media because I gave it a go in year 9 and really enjoyed it, however I didn't carry on for GCSE but I regretted my decision and have decided to do it for a levels.

these are some examples of the type of music I listen to:

bad boy chiller crew - BMW: this music video displays a relationship between the music and the visuals according to Andrew Goodwin. the song title is shown a lot in the video however the lyrics don't really relate to it a lot. they are showing that they came from working class and have become very successful, they show this through the expensive cars and expensive jewellery. they also have a lot of women in the video.
 
TS7 - know my name: according to Andrew Goodwin this displays a relationship between music and visuals. he does this by displaying the music genre (drum and bass) as a party genre and creating a party throughout the video. 
Tion Wayne - IFTK - this music displays a storyline. the music video itself doesn't relate to the actual song the storyline of the video feels like your watching a familiar film. there are lots of shots of the singers lip syncing the lyrics of the song. the shot if filmed in a foreign country that is has very exotic climate. he is also wearing a lot of expensive jewellery, this symbolises that the artist of the song is trying to show that he's got a lot of money. 
Tion Wayne started of being an explorer. He started his career as a street artist with a very niche target audience, mostly people in small areas of London. he did this with a genre of HipHop/rap called drill. however in this video, which is one of his recent music video and songs, he has decided to go very mainstream with a mix of a very famous classic song that was released by la roux in 2009. by doing this he has got a much wider audience listening to the song with It reaching 6th place in the uk charts.
