how post production techniques create meaning
I used locations such as 02 academy, mint warehouse, Leeds festival, and then mine and Millies living room for house party scenes. I used these locations to record footage because in the client brief for this video it stated that I need to create my video for a target audience. My target audience for my genre of music in the video is for people around the ages of 16 - 24 who like to go on nights out to club events and also attend "house" parties. Therefore the chosen locations for my video are perfect for the target audience and will stand out to them, this is important as target audience is part of the client breif.
In the final edit of the music video I have created there is a lot of fast editing, the song I have chosen is at times a very fast paced song so I have seen this and decided to add a lot of fast paced edits throughout these parts of the song to make sure the song matched the video. I have also decided to get a lot of fast paced close up shots of people partying the house party scenes, the shots I have gathered from nights clubs such as 02 academy are from songs that are the same genre as my song, so i have collected footage of the "drops" of these songs as these parts are the fastest paced part of the song. By doing this I have added the fast paced party atmosphere from the events that are perfect for my video and the target audience.
i have mostly stuck to my original ideas from my post production documents throughout recording my footage for my video. The only thing I have changed or adjusted is is my shooting schedule, my original shooting schedule had to be changed as the people in my video who I needed for my house party footage either couldn't make it to the shoot or where away on holiday. I had to organise new dates for shooting footage which a week after, which where recorded at my house. The week after that was when I recorded the second party of the house party footage which was at Millies house.
